At the recent management committee meeting the issue of pitch cancellations or closures was discused. The General Secretary suggested the introduction of panel referees who would travel to a pitch or group of pitches (Plymyards / Levers / Arrowe Park) on Saturady afternoon or early Sunday morning and carry out an inspection. They would then report the pitch availability to an appointed contact who would then take calls from clubs wishing to know if their game was on or off. Additionally the information would be posted on the league web site as soon as it was available.
